Having just finished watching another episode of MSNBC Countdown with Keith Obermann I just felt it was time now that I have a blog to spew more venom and ask anyone out there reading this important question. Just who are all these talking heads that American news shows pay to come on to their broadcasts to offer their verbal diarrhea and further infuriate and frustrate the millions at home who wonder if these individuals possess real jobs yet alone real lives? Just who the Hell are all these pseudo intellectual no it alls who do more damage to the American psyche than anything George W. Bush and his clown shoes regime could have pulled off over two days of torture at Guantanamo.
Let me be the first to say that I love Keith Obermann and everything he stands for. I respect Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews a lot for the journalistic integrity and honesty they bring to their shows but I have to say that I am quickly getting burned out watching these programs because of the constant overdose of talking head guests who for my take are no nothings who need to concentrate more on their jobs and less on the limelight and attention they are getting by appearing on these shows almost nightly. What in God’s name is a Richard Wolfe or Howard Feinman or the black Judas herself Amy Holmes anyway and why do I have to hear their views on every major news event every bloody night on Countdown? Lets divide the two party’s even more by allowing these think tank planted clowns come on and stir up more division and disharmony.
The bottom line is I’d rather listen to professional wrestlers attempt the Queens English over these clowns. They bore the life out of me and it’s time that the host of Countdown as well as the heads of networks employing them started to realize that these people are not the solution or doorway to the issues being discussed, they are the problem. Their modus operandi is to make a mountain out of a molehill or to make a major problem even more dire or critical by creating division and disgust amongst viewers and further discussing it to death. I mean seriously, what could any of these ass clowns offer to lessen the amount of oil being spilled into the Gulf of Mexico? Perhaps if they went there and sucked it all up with their big egos and gaping mouths, they would actually be contributing something tangible and we would finally be spared that constant graphic in American newscasts today which do nothing but show the gushing oil coming out of the ground as if it is something entertaining or vibrant.
The fact is I am bored to tears having to listen to these puppet journalists every night. It matters not if they are on MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN or FIXED News. The fact is they are not offering anything interesting, viable, concrete or palatable to any discussion of the issues. All they are doing is stirring the pot and making President Obama’s job that much harder. I find amazing watching Canadian news shows that this phenomenon does not exist here. They just leave the reporting of news to trained news people. I love that kind of old school thinking. Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather never needed Richard Wolfe or black conservative (what an oxymoron) Amy Holmes to liven up their news hour with biased and one-sided views of how things are. Enough already, I really could care less what they think. I’d rather they brought on Kevin Costner to educate people on his Gulf saving machine which can separate oil from water and then ask why the Government and all oil companies are not ordering these by the hundreds?
I mean really people, is there any doubt why Comedy Central is hitting it out of the ballpark with the “Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report”? These shows are successful because of the infinite clips of stupidity they find from other news shows interviewing muppet faced guests with muppet sized brains.
In all seriousness though, I could care less how intelligent they are or how many degrees in ass kissing they have won or if they have passed the ritualistic entrance to their right wing or left wing think tanks. I just know that whenever they appear on news shows, I tune out. I’d rather listen to Olbermann give one hour of his legendary and very meaningful special comments every night simply because I honestly love and respect the man and agree with all his views. He doesn’t need to be throwing all these talking heads at us every night because frankly, I’d trust his take on matters exclusively and I’d rather just listen to him, Rachel and Chris talk and offer their views because for me, their take on the events matters more. And if they cannot see the logic and frustration in my rants, then perhaps I will just stick with Comedy Central. At least they get what I am talking about.
