WORLD CUP FINAL WAS A BLOODY DISGRACE

Well the World Cup is finally over and for a final epic spectacle what we got to witness today was tension filled physically played and riveting 120 minutes of football that in the end could best be described as disgrace to the great game. Today two things won out, cynicism and pragmatism. A game that was truly brutal in style and barbaric in its approach as well as afraid of it’s own shadow.



Shame on the Dutch for coming out to play a rugby match. Shame on them for leaving all their flair and talent in the dressing room. Shame on Spain for boring us to death with their puffy homosexually induced football that is so inflexible and unwilling to alter it's approach that after a while they resemble a fat rhino continually ramming itself into a concrete wall while remaining clueless on how to get around the wall. Above all, shame to England for producing a muppet and complete wanker like Howard Webb who decided nothing to would be permitted today and where he completely destroyed the flow and pace of the game because he decided it was time to break the record for the most yellow cards given out.

The game lost today. Yet another spectacle reduced to boring fearful players afraid to let loose and take a crack. How many shot attempts I can count in this game that weren't taken because player after player decided to hold on to the ball that little bit longer or instead make a bad pass to kill the chance? The game was something the NFL likes to refer in their outtakes as 'Football Follies'. The game was a joke and the winners are joke.

FUCK how I hate Spanish football. They do absolutely nothing and they still win. The pass and pass and create nothing for most of the game but thanks to red card given for nothing, they get that little advantage that made the difference. Oh sure they had 3 or 4 good chances but over 120 minutes that is hardly a statement of outstanding play. The Dutch had just as many great chances and if Robben had been smart enough to chip Casillas the victors right now would be the Netherlands. But instead they continue to carry the moniker "the Neverlands". Three World Cup finals now and they still haven't learned not to play into the hands of their opponents and allow them to dictate the game.

This game was an advertisement for everything that is wrong with football. Gamesmanship such as, dirty tackling, clutching and grabbing, embellished theatrics, diving and players out there acting like prima ballerinas instead of men. Add to that managers who are so pragmatic and negative in their approach to the game, that what you had was systems suffocating the entertainment value of a World Cup Final. In one corner you have the Dutch playing gangster and carving up every Spaniard with the ball like a chainsaw killer. In the other corner you had a cowardly lion that was so timid in his approach that they continually looked to be playing in a low gear for fear of the chainsaw. Both teams had their chances but both seemed just too inept and too cautious for their own good.

Somebody referred to this match as a great Kung Fu movie. That one Kung Fu or should I say Cantonesque kick into the sternum of Alonso was such a blatant red card yet Webb ignored that and instead gave out at least half a dozen yellows which were nothing serious. Webb was made to look a colossal fool today. Every insult Fergie has sent his way over the years is correct. The man is incompetent.

I make no bones about it I wanted the Dutch to thrash Spain. I so despise Spanish football especially that cabal of Homo's who play for Bathelona that I wanted the Dutch to thrash them both physically and on the scoreboard. I could care less if I am not politically correct. Lets just say other than Italy, Spain is a major pet peeve of mine and I despise everything that nation's football stands for. They scored a paltry amount of goals in this World Cup with half of them going in off the post and they have had every great call in the world go for them. They are lucky and they are good but above all, everything about them disgusts me as they are class “A” cheaters.

But lets not end this without saying how totally disappointed and disenchanted I am with the Dutch and before them my beloved Germans for capitulating to this team by allowing them to dictate the terms of the game. I do like the fact the Dutch came out much more physical than the Germans had but still, both nations have great creatively skilled players but they gave the puff brigade of Spain far too much respect and showed fear where there should not have been any.

To beat Spain you cut off the passing lanes and crowd the middle. Then you get physical but what you must do is break out with pace and intent on a counter and both Germany and the Dutch didn't do this and it's because they were timid.

My biggest disappointment as well as frustration for the whole 120 minutes was watching the Dutch manager settle for that useless back fluid Robin van Persie and not bringing in Huntelaar to at least try to get a goal. van Persie has got to go down as one of the worst players of this World Cup and for him to continually be selected over Huntellar was ridiculous considering the one time Huntelaar was brought he scored a good goal. Instead the Dutch always looked to be playing a 4-2-3-0 because RVP was invisible all day long.

This wasn't the worst final of all time. The Germany vs Argentina final in 1990 and the 94 final between Italy and Brazil were far worse but it failed to be the spectacle it deserved to be because two teams decided fear, gamesmanship and caution would rule the day. Yet, another black mark on the game. And the thought of Spain carrying the crown for four years physically makes me sick. I hope they choke on it. What a bunch of gutless girly men. :roll: :roll:
